i miss my friends. i need to make more friend time and less sick time. granted, new years was great. we all downed a bottle of champagne in nathan phillips in about 10 minutes (just enough for the fireworks) and then spent our night in the Artful Dogger playing cards. it's a nice bar.
i've met 3 famous people in the last 24 hours. can you guess who?
i'm excited to go back to school. my winter semester is full of jems like: Sensory Ecology and Cinema Francophone.
it i purposely looked really bad for the next 6 months, would one of you please nominate me for what not to wear? the prospect of a new wardrobe and NYC sounds pretty good right about now. |

i'm going to tell my boss how much i dislike my job and how bad i am at it in hopes that he will transfer me to another department. i might very well be fired tonight.
also, how do you feel when people delete you off facebook? it makes things a little bit awkward. this girl from high school added me to facebook, realized that i had zero new exciting information about my exboyfriend and then promptly deleted me. it was kind of funny, i think she thought i would hook them up or something.
i'm making holiday plans. buying presents here and there with my very little money. seeing friends i haven't seen in a while. drinking too much wine. needing warm shoes. off to make lunch/dinner. |

okay so
-i bought a winter jacket that also immediately fell apart.
-york's on strike, which means i get an extension on this stupid essay that i've been trying to write for weeks.
-currently planning a trip to nyc for christmas.
-i'm teaching social skills to a group of kids with aspergers. i like it a lot.
-seeing my bf, my bffs all over the place.
-i got a job at the acc as an in seat runner, which i'm happy about. it might help me save up some money for another jacket.

things are a little messed up right now, but i'll get through it.
i'm headed 3 hours north to celebrate thanksgiving with the lyons bunch. i stole this survey from krystin because i haven't filled one out in at least 4 years. feel free to steal. i like to read everyone elses:

dave bought me a book called "I AM A CAT", which i am reading now. it's pretty much 'plea from a cat named virtue' but 250 pages longer.
mmm.
also, i'm in whitby, celebrating my birthday with the folks here. and next weekend, i'm celebrating my birthday in the city. i really hope it's a good time and people come out. my birthdays never seem to work out, for some reason. either i have an exam, i'm working, everyone forgets, or no one is free. so i'm hoping it is better this time around and i get to see all my friends. |

thursday was my 2 year anniversary with dave. today, we're going out to celebrate. he's been pretty secretive about where he's taking me. i get to take him to my place of choice from 3-6. (i'm taking him to steamwhistle brewery!) and then i'm going to give him his gift which i'm so excited about and i know he'll love it.
i feel pretty and happy and hungry.

the last two days of my life have been SO HECTIC
these are the battle wounds that i have acquired because of it:
-horribly aching, cracking, dry feet
-a sunburn
-a limp
-eczema everywhere! (which was technically there before, but i had no time to apply my medicated cream and it has since spread, haha)
here are some good things i acquired:
-a volunteer placement at CAMH
-money from working
-a scratch card for $3 that i found on mccaul
-a plaid shirt
-school supplies
-anniversary gift

everything happens in a hurry, oh my. i have to think about moving my stuff to college st. soon.
i have to book my day trip to cape cod, and the pub crawl in downtown boston.
i have to buy a new jacket, and a school bag.
i have to get a haircut.
i have to buy my advanced stats book and figure out a way to pass.
i have to find a lobster costume.

okay, so
-got a cheap place to live next year.
-have some money saved for tuition.
-in the midst of booking a flight from buffalo to cali in august.
-got some new turquoise specs.
-reading a lot. just finished everything is illuminated and now onto Maus II.
-been kind of lonely in whitby. re. meeting alex tomorrow for a star burger.
-new cell phone that makes receiving answering machine messages 110% more enjoyable.
-saw some movies, like indiana jones and ironman.
-planning a white trash party/waiting for my parents to go away for the weekend so everyone from the city can stay over.
-blond hair.
hmm hm, what else? oh.
i'm signing up for a yoga class with a girl from work.
and miss everyone terribly. |

good news all round.
-another summer position at hydro! hooray. it's in markham, which is a trek from whitby. the upside to working in markham? ruthie lives/works 5 minutes away which means there's the possibility i can visit her during lunch! because seriously, what else is there to do in markham? haha.
-found a roommate(s)!
-finished school on monday. wrote an exam that was 50% easier than i thought it would be.
-dance cave 80's night. drank and danced myself into a stupor.
-bonfire (got to say my goodbyes)
-due to my excessive school efforts and lack of a social life this year, i managed to up my average by a whole letter grade.
-see last point: my parents are buying me a VIOLIN. to either say "congratulations! we're proud of you', or "you were really stressed and we feel bad"
-get to see my little sister soon! :)
the very few, minute downsides:
-my camera is still full of sand and starts beeping wildly when you turn it on. i'll have to buy another cheap or used one, or something.
-stupid housing bastards. i was changing and 2 of the housing guys unlocked my door and walked in. they apparently did it to my neighbour too, when she was making out with her boyfriend. i'm not sure which of us had it worse, haha. |

i've been trying to be more assertive and honest with people this year.
it's backfired a couple times, but also worked out really well other times.
also, is anyone looking for a roommate next year in toronto? i need a place to live, and i'd rather not live with strangers (though it'd probably be a good way to make new friends!)
